Tendril is the Room 8 surgery enemy that covers the patient with purple tentacles and kills the patient if surgery fails.
Tendril is the Room 8 emergency enemy that appears as a purple blob with tentacles over the patient on the surgery table. It does not attack players directly. The danger is the timer: if players do not complete the surgery minigame before the countdown ends, the patient dies and the run records the death. The counter is surgery, not weapons. Players must follow the Room 8 board pattern, switching between Scissors and Transplant actions as required. Shooting, tasing, or offering coffee to Tendril kills the patient instead of saving them. Tendril matters because it punishes the most common panic response. A team with Gun or Taser ready still has to put those items away and solve the surgery screen. Call Room 8, read the board, and let the player on surgery finish the pattern.
Encounter Tendril only in Room 8 when the emergency timer announces that a monster has appeared on the surgery patient.
Tendril forces a timed surgery minigame. Complete the Scissors and Transplant pattern before the timer ends; weapons and coffee kill the patient.

Mass of Eyes is the ceiling enemy behind the Don't Look Up warning, draining sanity when players stare upward.
Shadow Figure is a camera or visual anomaly cue for spotting a dark figure in a camera or room check.
Death Ritual is a 40 second room ritual with candles around a levitating patient.
Cursed Photo is a photo anomaly cue for using photo clue before admission.
Tendril gets easier once the team names the visible cue: the model, warning text, room cue, CCTV view, or enemy animation. That keeps the next move tied to the room instead of old memory.
A good call with Tendril connects the cue to the matching action. The team avoids extra clicks, saves the item for the right patient, and keeps the timer from becoming the main problem.
A bad call with Tendril treats the scene like normal hospital traffic. That is when patients get the wrong item, enemies stay active, fires spread, or a room timer runs out.

The bad click is treating Tendril like a weapon target; Room 8 needs the surgery board, not a gun or taser.
